His plan to conquer the Imperial World of Crucible is presented to the Emperor’s Children as a challenge, but what should be a swift and decisive victory turns into a gruelling siege where victory is far from guaranteed. With success expected by their Primarch, his would-be champions find themselves contemplating how much they must sacrifice to ensure victory, and what will remain of them if they follow this difficult path.
