On October 16th 2016 a 50th Anniversary Action Man Action Soldier was first available to buy. This celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the launch of the basic Action Man Action Soldier of 1966 in the UK and re-establishes the Action Man brand once more. He wears a uniform very close to the original 1966 shirt, trousers, tall boots and cap. He has flock hair, and gripping hands and a body similar to the original Action Man action figures of the 1960s and 1970s
