Adeptus Mechanicus

The Adeptus Mechanicus worship the deity known as the Machine God and as such often look to enhance the human form with technology. The Mechanicus has a large amount of autonomy within the Imperium and is effectively an empire within an empire. Based on holy Mars, it is responsible for maintaining planet-wide factories known as Forgeworlds that produce the munitions and supplies needed to fuel the Imperial war machine. This symbiotic relationship benefits both sides as the adepts of Mars are able to claim any ancient technology recovered by the wider Imperium.
